neonetman Posted January 31, 2017 Posted January 31, 2017 Well the Exchange migration is well underway, but I’ve hit a snag and wondered if you had any thoughts?... When trying to migrate a mailbox to the new server, I get the following error:- The odd thing is RAFA is our Exch 2013 server rather than our old server. Googling tells me it’s the system attendant service on the old server, yet this is running (I’ve also tried restarting both the service and the server) Any thoughts as I'm tearing my hair out here, Cheers Iain
Sagima Posted January 31, 2017 Posted January 31, 2017 My one thought at this point is that you initiate migration for the mailbox from the exchange 2013 server rather than from exchange 2007 one as then it won't look for the service it knows it does not have? (hope that makes sense - if that was what you were doing then I'm out of ideas for the moment)
neonetman Posted January 31, 2017 Author Posted January 31, 2017 I initially tried it from the 2007 server (which is the error I screenshotted), however I've also tried it from the 2013 server
Sagima Posted January 31, 2017 Posted January 31, 2017 Did you disable/dismount the database exc2013 created when you first installed it?
neonetman Posted January 31, 2017 Author Posted January 31, 2017 I did dismount it as I've created my own databases. I've just tried again with the database remounted and the same error occurs
3s-gtech Posted January 31, 2017 Posted January 31, 2017 Do you get a more detailed error report if you try moving via Powershell directly?
