Apparently the more effectiveness of the comparison sites advert is in proportion to how annoying people find them

 

i.e. the MOST annoying adverts are the most effective

 

people are weird

not really annoying makes it memorable. Just think about what you can remember from life odds on its bad or good not meh

As a vegetarian, I'm not offended by the ads. I'm not hungry either - I've just scoffed a couple of vegie samosas

Not offensive to me, but tasteless for sure. Punching down is lazy, and marketing by making fun of people who have a different dietary requirement or are trying to make a difference is just daft. :/

But when it comes to the crunch, pretty much all comedy is, at the root of it, schadenfreude. Usually comedy is at the expense of someone else, to varying degrees. Sometimes I feel adverts strike the balance pretty well.. Sometimes they overstep. But that's just, like, my opinion, man.

I can't believe that so many people watch adverts! On the very rare occasions that I watch "live" TV with ads, I'll normally start a few minutes late so I can fast forward through the ads. The only ones I see are those that have caused enough of a fuss for me to seek them out on YouTube or if they catch my eye whilst whizzing through them at x32. The latter doesn't happen very often, though pro tip for ad execs: more cats/kittens or advertise at the cinema more.

I watch ads in case gems like this appear
