Netgear switch conecting at 10mbps

I just joined a new school and I

had an issue that a machine was not connecting. I saw the port was conecting at 10 mbit I then noticed that other connections where at 10 mbit any suggestions to force 100 or 1000 mbit connection? Or change sensitive like you can on HP?

Are the devices actually turned on? Our HP switches will say a port is connected at 10mbps if the computer connected is switched off.

Same with lots of device. They connect at 10mb waiting for WOL packets

 

I would put my money on this causing it.

This machine was turned on and working.

[nicholab]

Changing setting to100 mbit made the connections connect at 100 mbit. Would this work of the machines where off?
