Student drive not mapping

Hi, I hope that someone can help as i can't seem to find the answer anywhere.

 

 

The problem that i have is student jo blogs logs on one laptop and the student share drive appears but says' access denied. Then jo blogs logs on another laptop and the student share drive is working fine.

 

When checking the gpresult I can see that on both machines the drives have mapped. I don't really know what is causing the problem or how to resolve it. I will assume it has something to do with the laptop???

 

 

The machine is a Windows 7 32 bit pro dell Laptop 5530

 

running Windows Server 2012

Have you checked the event logs on the laptop?

Do you use offline files? We have this occasionally where the offline file cache corrupts itself, and by resetting it using this MS KB it fixes it - https://support.microsoft.com/en-gb/kb/942974

 

I have a copy of the MSI if you need it, as MS seem to have removed it from their site, but the manual fix is still there.

hi thanks for the help, but that hasn't resolved the problem

 

because the user can log on a different laptop and the drive is mapped correctly, certain machines at not mapping the drive letter
