How to disable File Explorer top area???

Hey guys, I hope someone can help me.

 

I've setup a new 2012R2 domain for one of my schools, but having a bit of trouble finding the correct GPO to lockdown a section of Win7's File Explorer.

 

I would like to hide or remove the menu bar that you find the folder organize drop down. I've highlighted what I want gone in the picture.

Try User Config > Policies > Admin Templates > Start Menu & Taskbar > Remove programs on Settings Menu

 

No idea if it'll work for you but it's worth a try?

We did it in Windows 7 and it took ages to find out how to do it.

 

You have to edit a .dll in the themes folder.
