Koldov Posted November 30, 2016 Posted November 30, 2016 And another issue! Like buses... Just put here as I'm not sure where the problem lies. Called to a classroom as the teacher cannot 'open anything' in the class shared drive. Students save their work in the drive and the teacher has that mapped so she can look at their work and display it in class. Server 2012R2/Windows 7/Office 2010. Looked at the permissions and the Teacher security group which she is a part of has full permissions. However, she can open Word documents, it only seems to be an issue with Powerpoint. I have had issues with another teacher randomly saying they can't open or save Powerpoints in shared drives, but it is sporadic and seems to clear up on it's own. As administrator I can open them, so I'm thinking permissions - but why only Powerpoints?
Koldov Posted November 30, 2016 Author Posted November 30, 2016 (edited) Just to make it stranger, I have just logged on to another computer as the teacher in question and can open all the Powerpoints.... Edit: And now, lessons have ended and I've just been back down to her classroom and opened all the Powerpoints on the shared drive from her laptop...... Koldov Posted December 1, 2016 Author Posted December 1, 2016 So, does anyone know what I might be looking at here? Permissions? Replication? Application?
witch Posted December 1, 2016 Posted December 1, 2016 @Koldov I had a similar issue where the teacher couldnt open Powerpoints unless everything else was closed. No idea why 1
