ricky15100 Posted November 25, 2016 Posted November 25, 2016 Hi does anybody use office 365 backups at all, and can you recommend any software. I was thinking about maybe doing a local backup. Just to clarify i mean email
Davit2005 Posted November 25, 2016 Posted November 25, 2016 (edited) I used the Azure Backup but personally wouldn't recommend. The client is jus a NT backup with the ability to upload to the cloud and very buggy but it is free, I guess for a reason. Not sure if DPM offers this facility I guess it would. Do a local backup and store a copy on Azure, or go for a Cloud backup solution. All if you have a reasonable internet connection of course which can sustain a backup without eating into the next days internet usage. Or you could go for a Veeam solution with a Cloud based partner. Edited November 25, 2016 by Davit2005
deano Posted November 25, 2016 Posted November 25, 2016 There are cloud providers that offer this service, such as backupify. However I saw something recently that Veeam are offering this option for email only which will be good.
ricky15100 Posted November 28, 2016 Author Posted November 28, 2016 Thanks for the replies guys, i did speak to veam, it seems the product is in beta at the moment and they have no idea what the costing will be. i also got a quote from code2, it was quote reasonable to be fair. Has anyone had any experience using either the litigation hold or the in place hold as a back up?
NicholasEsping Posted November 28, 2016 Posted November 28, 2016 We use GFI Arichiver to backup emails. It works pretty good not sure on the price though.
