I used the Azure Backup but personally wouldn't recommend. The client is jus a NT backup with the ability to upload to the cloud and very buggy but it is free, I guess for a reason. Not sure if DPM offers this facility I guess it would.

Do a local backup and store a copy on Azure, or go for a Cloud backup solution. All if you have a reasonable internet connection of course which can sustain a backup without eating into the next days internet usage.

Or you could go for a Veeam solution with a Cloud based partner.

There are cloud providers that offer this service, such as backupify. However I saw something recently that Veeam are offering this option for email only which will be good.

Thanks for the replies guys, i did speak to veam, it seems the product is in beta at the moment and they have no idea what the costing will be. i also got a quote from code2, it was quote reasonable to be fair. Has anyone had any experience using either the litigation hold or the in place hold as a back up?
