I have a 5 year old Galaxy Note 10.1 wifi that has done sterling service, but it's definitely past it's best. It's slow and keeps crashing.

I use the pen that slots into the device a lot.

The size fits nicely in my bag - I don't want to go bigger

I love the android clipboard that makes posting job threads a piece of cake

I use it mostly for meeting documents (especially annotating pdfs) and for edugeek moderation and posting jobs.

I don't give a stuff about the camera.

I'm not on a tight budget.

Suggestions please?

If I was buying an Android tablet I would go with either the Google Pixel C or Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 (preferably the former). Although neither come with a stylus you can get third-party ones fairly cheaply.

Android 7.0 include native split-screen functionality so you can use almost any Android app side-by-side on the Pixel C. I took the following screenshot on my Pixel XL with the Edugeek app and ClipStack. Obviously on a tablet you would be able to see more of each app. :)

If you don't mind waiting another month or so, the Samsung Chromebook Pro looks ideal. It includes a stylus, can run Android apps from the Play Store and has a proper keyboard. Although it has a 12.3" screen, it's 3:2 instead of 16:9 so it should still fit in your bag.

Thanks Arthur

The Chromebook pro is too big for my handbag I think. What I have is pretty much as big as I want to go.

The Pixel C looks a possibility. I'll look at it a bit more

Would you also not be interested in iOS? ;)

No because I want the clipboard that you get on Android. I use use it a dozen times a day.

The ability to copy 6 things and then go and paste them in an order of my choosing is brilliant.

iOS does things one at a time.

Don't get me wrong, I love my iPhone. But I don't want an iPad

I've just thought of another tablet that fits your requirements. The Android version of the Lenovo Yoga Book. It looks really slick.

Yeah. That is one area where Android is definitely better than iOS. :D

It's a shame there aren't many good Android tablets to choose from these days. :(

Hmmm. There's a Tab S3 due early next year. I wonder if it's worth nursing mine a little longer?

If you do, I would suggest waiting a while after release to see if there are any issues reported. Also with the issues they had lately with batteries, I would even follow my own advice. ;)

Very true. And to be honest my Note is driving me up the wall. It needs to go.

@elsiegee40. The Pixel C tablet has dropped in price by £100 on the Curry's website. 32GB = £299.99 / 64GB = £379.99 :)
