Replace string in all GPO

Hey,

 

I need to replace a specific string in every GPO we have. Does anyone know a way to do this efficiently? We have hundreds of them and I'd rather not have to open them all 1 by 1.

I think you can do this with the AD migration tool. I've not done it, only read it somewhere. It may only work when migrating domains though (hence the name i suppose) :/

Yes - Create a new GPO with the replaced setting. If it's last in the GPO order, it will take priority over GPOs applied first (just for that specific setting).

 

Then link the GPO wherever it's needed. It'll still take a while, but it'll work.

Can't do this as it's not the same settings in all GPOs.

Unfortunately no then, you'll need to edit each GPO in turn
