Saw it last week, thoroughly enjoyed it. Batista's comedic timing is even better in this one. Had me crying with laughter a couple of times.

Agreed, all the characters get to flesh themselves out more in this film rather than just Pratt and Saldana, but Batista does need special recognition here as he was very, very funny.

Sorry but I was left flat. I enjoyed the humour but the story around Snake Plisskin was ridiculous.. but then we are talking about a film featuring a talking racoon, a twig and a guy who controls an arrow with whistles.

 

I reckon I will be in a very small minority here.

Saw this on Friday night. Loved it. Not usually my cup of tea, but a friend wanted to go so said I'd tag along. Watched the first one on Thursday evening. Loved them. Baustita was indeed excellent and his dynamic with Mantis was hilarious.

I don't know what it is about sci-fi flicks and 80s music but it just seems to work. I know this is very much a hark back to the 80s from the first film, but that doesn't detract from anything

Finally got to see this last night with the OH, really enjoyable "leave your brain on the hook as you enter" comedy SciFi film, plot was a bit wobbly half way through but the laughs were good and the ending was well done leaving the door wide open for Vol 3 at some point. And for the first time in weeks, both of us managed to stay awake past 10pm, very grown up

 

Only grumble? Small popcorn and coke cost more than the price of the ticket....
