ASIO4ALL silent install for network deployment via SCCM using PSAppDeployToolkit

Hi

 

I'm trying to silently install ASIO4ALL as part of a PSAppDeploytoolkit wrapper script to install Pro Tool 12.6 which will go out via SCCM hopefully. I'm not having much luck finding an option for the silent install of ASIO4ALL. Running the installer with /? doesn't give any answers.

 

Has anybody else managed to silently install this software and if so how did you do it?

Unless it's changed it used to be a big /S (must be cap not little)

Looks like it's an NSIS installer, so should be /S

Try Universal Silent Switch Finder downloadable off the internet.

 

But IMO honest if you can afford to install Pro Tools surely a ASIO compliant audio interface with it's own drivers would be best option and prob less problematic.

 

We had Sibelius at a previous place and the latency was always causing an issue.

Hi yup we do have focusrite audio devices for a few machines which will be the ones doing the real recording but the classroom has more computers and Music Dept didn't want to buy them for all the PC's. Unfortunately I off the day they met with my colleague about finalising the hardware spec. So some assumptions were made about on-board audio being good enough (I checked and confirmed the on-board sound doesn't have them on the bottom end chip we have). However for the use they want these other computers, which is mostly more about running the application and getting used to it etc, ASIO4ALL was decided to be good enough to make it run.

The computers we've purchased this year (Gen6 i7's with SSD & 16GB RAM) run Sibelius 8 with a lot less latency than the 5 year old computers they replaced (i5 with HDD & 8GB RAM). Still not perfect but not tested them with the focusrite audio devices hooked up yet.

 

 

Yes it was the case sensitive /S switch.

 

Thought I'd already tired the usual suspects but evidently I ran it twice with a little /s instead.
