Papercut - machine not on domain?

I have been asked to setup a laptop that is not on the domain to print to our Follow Me printers via Papercut

 

Currently only domain based machines can print.

 

There is another machine in the school that is off the domain that can print and it appears to have papercut client installed on it. Is this what I have to do to enable printing from the workgroup machine?

From memory the client is located within the install directory of Papercut (on your server). You can then set/program a username/password belonging to the domain. Install your Follow Me printer manually and you should be good to go.

You could also use something like Web Print (make the webprint page available via the external IP?)

The PC Client can be found on the Server Share. Just browse to it's path and then PCCLient. Depending on your setup it will prompt you for credentials to authenticate so you'll likely need to create your own user for it or get them to use domain credentials. Check out the article Big_Ted linked above for more info on that front.

Run the client install, make sure that a user name and password is create on AD. Once the setup is complete then you should be able to login but make sure that the drop down selection is set to until I log out.
