class management for thin clients

im wondering if anyone can tell me or find me some software for teachers to use,(similar to netop) to manage thier class with internet locking mouse keybards and can monitor etc

 

we are running a blade center!!on windows server 2003 and use citrix but we need the software to run over terminal services

 

does anyone have any ideas!!! we wuld love the soultion to be free but we doubt that will happen

 

we have net op for the desktop machines but teachers struggle to keep control of class using thin clients

AB Tutor is supposed to handle TS now - we'll find out in a few weeks when we have a go with it.

NetSupport definately runs over TS. I'm pretty confident that VNC could also be used - I've been toying with using VNC on the terminals (as opposed to the servers) and then some kind of viewer software. This should reduce overhead on the terminals servers and also reduce costs.

I've tested ABTutor v5 (version 4 doesn't work) on Citrix Presentation server 4.5. It works fine.

You could use VNC with lanview, its free!

Thanks we have tried vnc but you cant lock all keyboards ad blank screen

 

we wanted something like net op where you can view a thumb nail of all desktops so the teachers can keep a eye without to much bother!

 

 

when we spoke to the guys at lan view they said it didnt work over ts?? is this true?

we used to use syncroneyes from smart technology, but it wasn't over terminal services, not sure if it would work

iTALC. Free, based on VNC, locks keyboards and screens and provides thumbnail view of user's screens. I believe I've heard it works on thin clients.

Novus told me that NetSupport performed very badly on Citrix boxes can anyone confirm this as we use Ranger Remote which is rebadged Netsupport and wouldn't mind using it if the Citrix shadowing doesn't provide multiple session viewing.
