Its that time of year again, when I get in all staff laptops on a rota and check them over for anything nasty, run defrag and cleanup, ensure updates are running, anti-virus is still ok, make sure staff haven't put anything they shouldn't have on them.

 

Last night I started to build up a USB of software to use for this I was thinking what software everyone else uses when checking over a PC or laptop or if anyone can recommend anything?

Ccleaner and Malwarebytes are our main 2, sometimes other programes like treesize depending on what the PC needs.

i just reimage them annually.

This is what we do (after reminding them about 100 times to save to their network drives).

Just Nuke and re-image if any problems, used to do this annually at the last place. Used to copy all the user area's off and then copy the stuff back afterwards but only 5 people had laptops issued for home use so wasn't a great chore.

SCCM tells me everything you listed in the OP in one console, without staff even knowing

 

Also defrags dont matter if you have SSDs!
