Toshiba Laptops with dodgy screws

I've moved most of my laptops to Very PC as I've been impressed with them. Most come with a 3 year warranty so most issues would be covered anyway.

 

Warranties are fine, but doesn’t speak well for the general build quality of the units. May just be a single batch that we’ve been unlucky with, but the Stone equivalents that use the same chassis haven’t given us any issues whatsoever.

We just called up and were told they would not send the screws out to us-- the unit has to go in for a "goodwill" repair!

Beg to differ on the Stone had no end of problems with screws dropping out.

We've had laptops from Stone & VeryPC with the same chassis purchased a couple of months apart and they both had the same issue with the screws so I would say it is definitely a chassis or batch issue rather than a supplier one.

 

Probably happened more on the Stones, which may be because they are slightly older, but Both have been great with fixing them.
