We've used salamandersoft's photo extractor to extract photos of students for years however the time has come where we need to extract the photos with the names of the students rather than the admission number.

Reading the Readme document, it states:

/names:filename

An optional parameter which if present will save the images as specified names. The filename is the full or relative path to a csv file which has 2 columns, the 1st one being the admission number of a student or the staff code of a staff member, and the second the name to save the image as.

Ive created a report in SIMS which contains these 2 columns, its populated with the admission number and the name (surname firstname) and placed the CSV in the folder where photoexporter is. Ive run the command photoexport.exe username password locationtosavephotos /year:9 /names:"locationofcsv.csv" but still im getting the admission numbers as the file names.

What am i doing wrong?

Thanks

Remove the ""s from the CSV.

(Open it in notepad and do replace)

(Or even better, open and just hit save in Excel)
