Computer giant HP has agreed to buy Samsung's printer business for $1.05bn (£790m).

 

The California-based company said the acquisition would help it to "disrupt and reinvent" the $55bn industry, in a sector it said "hasn't innovated in decades".

 

As part of the deal, Samsung has committed to buying between $100m and $300m worth of HP shares on the open market after takeover, the companies said...

I didn't think Samsung still make printers.

Yup, and they're much better made than the newer HPs I've used over the last ten years. Both have shoddy drivers though.
