TomHD Posted September 8, 2016 Posted September 8, 2016 Afternoon All, I have some staff I want to delete but I can't remember what order to do it in? The staff in question have exchange mailboxes so do I delete them from exchange first and then CC4 or will deleting them on CC4 first remove the mailbox too? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Thanks, TomHD
truebluesteve Posted September 8, 2016 Posted September 8, 2016 When we had an on-prem Exchange server, I deleted the users in CC4 first and then the mailboxes would be shown as disconnected and get deleted after 30 days. That was useful if you deleted the wrong person! 1
TomHD Posted September 8, 2016 Author Posted September 8, 2016 thanks @truebluesteve I thought that was the case
Davit2005 Posted September 8, 2016 Posted September 8, 2016 Deleting the Mailbox will remove the AD object at the same time. You will prob have to delete the users home drive and roaming profile manually. 1

That was useful if you deleted the wrong person! If the user has linked a device with ActiveSync to Exchange then you will need to delete the leaf object first manually!! See: TEC4931140 1
ajs Posted October 7, 2016 Posted October 7, 2016 Deleting the Mailbox will remove the AD object at the same time. You will prob have to delete the users home drive and roaming profile manually. If done through the RMMC (and assuming it works properly) then the home drive and profile should be deleted when the user is.
