It is a 2016 mac mini, around three months old. A custom Apple build - not one you can get at retail. Has boosted ram and SSD. Running latest OSX with all updates installed.

Has boosted RAM and SSD. Custom Apple build as in Apple BTO or third-party (non-Apple) SSD and RAM? Have you tested the SSD and RAM? Are they okay? I'd start with a reboot holding down the command key & R for recovery options. Failing this try some other combi's from the below link: https://support.apple.com/en-gb/HT201255 However if this came from a 3rd party, I'd try the above first. 3s-gtech Posted August 24, 2016 Posted August 24, 2016 I had similar when a third-party SSD died in an older Mac, running 10.10. It came back to life again when reformatted, but ultimately popped.
