Hi,

I am after some information regarding the renewal of Microsoft volume licensing and price rises. Our current VL was due to expire 2016-07-31 which is after the price rise. We got quotes and placed an order for a new agreement before the price rise and our current agreement end (order placed around 25th June). Now our re-seller has come back and told us that Microsoft will not let them place the order at the pre-price rise price because our current agreement ends after prices go up. Does anyone know if this is in fact true or have our re-seller just messed up and not placed the order in time before price rises?

In summary if our agreement ends on the 31st July and prices rise on the 1st July can we start a new 3yr agreement before 1st July to take advantage of the lower costs.

Thanks

The issue is that we have already been given a quote budgeted for and placed the order with our re-seller. I have had all the emails signed the agreement and upon logging into VLSC noticed that we had no keys or licenses showing on the agreement. I contacted MS who told me that no order has been placed with them. I then called our re-seller who advised me that they didn't realize that our agreement ended after 1st July so they cannot get the agreement at the quoted price.

Take a look at this:

Customers who are renewing a 1 or 3-year term OVS-ES after 1 July should get price protection (minus desktop discount) until 2018.
