  1. Hi, I have been looking into setting up a DA server using the configuration shown below. I am currently stuck configuring external access to and from the server. From what I understand I need to add an A record into our external DNS pointing the DA servers FQDN to a free IP address in our public range. Next I need to have a DMZ created on our Sophos UTM with the DA servers external NIC connected on a private range. Finally I will need traffic directed on our UTM from the public address configured for DA to the IP of the NIC connected to the DMZ. I would appreciated If anyone could advise if this sounds correct or if I have missed anything in regards to making the internal DA server externally resolvable. Also how would I go about finding what public addresses are currently free in our public ranges. (Please forgive me if I cause any confusion as this is my first time looking at DA) NAT Configuration 2 NICs (External & Internal) External NIC is in a DMZ Internal NIC is on the corporate network
  2. The issue is that we have already been given a quote budgeted for and placed the order with our re-seller. I have had all the emails signed the agreement and upon logging into VLSC noticed that we had no keys or licenses showing on the agreement. I contacted MS who told me that no order has been placed with them. I then called our re-seller who advised me that they didn't realize that our agreement ended after 1st July so they cannot get the agreement at the quoted price.
  3. Did your agreement expire before or after the 1st July?
  4. Hi, I am after some information regarding the renewal of Microsoft volume licensing and price rises. Our current VL was due to expire 2016-07-31 which is after the price rise. We got quotes and placed an order for a new agreement before the price rise and our current agreement end (order placed around 25th June). Now our re-seller has come back and told us that Microsoft will not let them place the order at the pre-price rise price because our current agreement ends after prices go up. Does anyone know if this is in fact true or have our re-seller just messed up and not placed the order in time before price rises? In summary if our agreement ends on the 31st July and prices rise on the 1st July can we start a new 3yr agreement before 1st July to take advantage of the lower costs. Thanks
  5. Hi, Just wondering if anyone here has experience converting a DC from VMWare to Hyper-v and if so would you recommend it over migration. Also what kind of issues are likely to arise and what conversion tools are best. Thanks
