jrma91 Posted August 17, 2016 Posted August 17, 2016 Afteroon all, I am having problems bringing up BTec results in my marksheets as I can not find the correct aspect to use. I have attempted to use the same ones as previous years but am having no luck at present. The results are in SIMS, and I can view them under a students profile in the Examination section, but can not find any code to bring them up in a marksheet. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Regards, Jrma91
ilsley_SIMS Posted August 17, 2016 Posted August 17, 2016 I'm having the exact same problem. All the other results are pulling through correctly, but the BTEC ones appear to be missing. Any help will be appreciated!
AJWhite1970 Posted August 17, 2016 Posted August 17, 2016 (edited) Sorry ignore my reply. I was going on about broadsheets not marksheets... Long day!!!! Edited August 17, 2016 by AJWhite1970
ilsley_SIMS Posted August 18, 2016 Posted August 18, 2016 Any takers with this? Still haven't managed to get our BTEC results to show up on the broadsheet.
PhilNeal Posted August 18, 2016 Posted August 18, 2016 I assume you've posted on MyAccount or raised a case?
psumner1992 Posted August 18, 2016 Posted August 18, 2016 We had the same issue yesterday with BTEC grades not showing on the Broadsheeets and we were issued with patch 17395 which resolved the issue for us. Hope this helps anyone encountering the same issue.
MissingDatum Posted August 22, 2016 Posted August 22, 2016 If you're still looking, I would suggest writing a quick report definition on the data area 'Result', pulling in the resultset, the aspect name of the aspect and maybe the external id of the aspect. Filter the results by collection date, selecting the date of results download day from the appropriate year, and by the identity of a student who you know has a result for the aspect you're seeking. This should spit out a list which you could quickly comb for the missing aspect name. A bit long-winded, but it seems the easiest method if you can see the results on a student's examinations record.
bobsmith Posted August 24, 2016 Posted August 24, 2016 This was easy for us, but we only run 2 true btecs and a couple of cambridge nationals. Go to the student examination record and look at the board and the code. BTECs use unique codes for each centre taking the course so my codes will be different from yours, and sometimes different across different years! My BTEC Science was BFW36A and BFW35A, but the school next door has a different set of codes for the same course! In the column selection for the marksheet template just use the CES Examinations filter to find the aspect just like for a GCSE. The other huge caveat is actually making sure the BTECs are in examinations organiser properly, you want CERTIFICATION codes in your basedata and then the results either imported or manually entered in a marksheet.
