Looking for Office alternative

Hey guys,

 

I'm having a problem with licencing on multiple of our laptops where we have used all of our current Office 2016 licences. I don't really want to purchase more. So for now, is there any alternatives for Office I can use. It needs to have word, PowerPoint, Excel and whatever alternatives.

If you fancy using browser based versions you can apply for 365 which includes licences for Office to staff and students as well as browser based versions free of charge although a slight faff setting up. Personally I'm more a Google docs person (also free to schools if you don't mind using a browser based version).

Unless they changed it doesn't that only apply for people on EES?OVS still? And if he's "run out of licenses" I'm guessing it's not licensed through there? (May be wrong though )

yeah you are right. It wouldn't add licences to the current crop as such and students would have to sign in on the workstation to licence it which would be a pain however if they would fancy having students sign in and use the browser based version you wouldnt even need to install office on the desktops. A little drastic but viable imo.

I already have Office 365 but only for the teaching staff.

Do you only buy Office licences as and when you need them and pay for Office 365, or do you have a OVS-EES agreement that covers your OS/Office requirements.

 

If you have EES, then you should not have a limit on the number of stations you can install on per say. You get a soft limit for the number of MAK codes you used, but you can ask for more to be added to your account as they are one time use.
