Quick Access/Favourites issue in File Explorer

Hi

 

How do you make sure Quick AccessFavourites works in File Explorer. It keeps on saying Access Denied and will not redirect elsewhere.

 

Using Roaming Profiles.

My work college has configured this last week and is very messy, all that I know is he set there local profiles to roaming and permissions need to be set access them.

 

If its something what needs to be done on the local machine I would set the permissions full on the machine and the try and lock it down to your needs if it needs to be protected

Do you know how the roaming profiles have been setup in the past? I don't really use them as it is not good for teaching staff, I would prefer local profiles with a network account and mapped drives.

The roaming profiles are exactly the same. For some reason for Yr8s and above they are OK. Yr7s can't use the library/Favorites/Quick Access features in Windows Explorer. I am just stumped to what is going on.

Its sounds like a permissions issue that your year 7s don't have access to the quick access folder.

This was a group policy issue where administrator needed access to the roaming profile group
