denmyos Posted July 5, 2016 Posted July 5, 2016 This may not be a Windows server 2012 problem, but it's only on this OS i have this problem. I have a virtual printerserver Windows server 2012 running. I logon with RDP with no problem. Now we need to have online support on some printers. The company needs to have access to the server through Teamviewer. The problem is that teamviewer will only connect IF i'm already connect to the server through RDP. Otherwise they get this error. And since i can't leave a RDP connection open for the next three months, I need to get it to work when the RDP is not connect. I have already gone through this guide TEAMVIEWER - Error - Screen cannot be captured at the moment due to fast user switching & Installing Teamviewer as a service - kossboss But it didn't help. Anybody tried this. ?
Yosty Posted July 5, 2016 Posted July 5, 2016 I had the exact same problem with one of the Primary's I support. I unticked the following box and then I was able to teamviewer onto it from then on. Hope this helps.
DMcCoy Posted July 5, 2016 Posted July 5, 2016 If you install the full host version, which ID is the support company using? with the service version you may see the id, but you need to click to see the *server* Teamviewer ID rather than the *current session* ID.

My server is a virtual server and as soon as i close my rdp connection, teamviewer will be disconnected as well.

I'm using the full version. I have set up teamviewer to use windows login, but I still get the black screen and the error message. Not really sure what you mean. "current session" and "server teamviewer ID"
pantscat Posted July 6, 2016 Posted July 6, 2016 When you do an RDC session do you logoff at the end, or just use the "X" to quit?
denmyos Posted July 6, 2016 Author Posted July 6, 2016 When you do an RDC session do you logoff at the end, or just use the "X" to quit? I'm a freaking Duchbag!!!! Do I need to say more. I have people calling me everyday because they close the Citrix connection by using the X, and can't connect again. I of cause tell them how to correctly close Citrix "start->logoff" But myself I freaking use the X when I close RDC,,No wonder I couldn't get it to work... How dumb can I be..!! Thanks Pantscat
