We have an IP camera that supports audio in however we need a terminal connector for it to work.

Apparently its a 8 pin Dinkle ESC250V but trying to find one in the UK is proving difficult. I havent got a Maplins catalogue otherwise id look in there.

I've attached a photo of the socket it goes into.

Can anyone help?

Thanks

I dont think so. The blocks you have quoted each pin looks like it has a little frame or its own socket where as the one im after doesnt so i dont think it would fit.

That looks exactly like what you are after to me..?

The only difference looks like the means of fixing the wires in... The Phoenix connector is screw terminal whereas the Dinkle is spring clip... I'd go for the screw terminal personally!

I'm guessing its a TCM-7811 ? ;)

I'll see what is at work tomorrow. I take it you've got the pin out for it ?

Thank you. Yeah its the TCM-7811. Not a bad little camera to be honest and was really impressed with the viewing angle. Yep, ive got the pin out for it, i tried to bodge a connection on to the pins with the old usb connectors on a motherboard but got more "buzz" than audio from the mic.

Why do you need to record audio?

"The use of audio recording, particularly where it is continuous, will, in most situations, be considered more privacy intrusive than purely visual recording. Its use will therefore require much greater justification. Audio recording should only be used where:

You have identified a need or issue which can be characterised as a pressing social need and can evidence that this need must be addressed."
