Haha he was the one that inspired me to go looking on ebay for one! I originally got one of those suitcase ones but started to hear that they will mess up the vinyls more so opted to go old skool after seeing techmoan. Got it opened it up to find the belt had completely degraded and melted. Got a replacement 6 quid belt put it in and hey presto.

 

Was listening to a muse album yesterday and it automatically switched over to the other side.

always good when it's a cheap fix!, the techmoan channel does make me want to expand my collection of vintage technology

Yeah i was thinking of getting a vintage amp but i might be able to hook it up to my bluray home theatre system just need to get some phono cables.

you may need a pre-amp to boost the signal to a audible level. Most modern amps don't have a built in pre amp stage

Well i have hooked it up with just phono cables to the surround sound sound pretty good but will still look at a pre amp if required [emoji41] Edited January 28, 2017 by north-ict

if you dont need to crank the volume up to the max to make it even slightly audible, then you are most likely fine
