DPM unexpected error

Afternoon Guys,

 

Got yet another issue with DPM.

 

working with DPM 2012r2 and im trying to backup an exchange 2013 server as a VM. It creates the initial replica then it tries to do the first sync and i immediately get this error.

 

An unexpected error occurred while the job was running. (ID 104 Details: Call context cannot be accessed after call completed (0x80010117)

 

Ive googled this and have had pretty much no luck at all, the call context cannot be accessed part of the error seems to be a generic error that covers a wide variety of issues, just wondered if anyone has come across this error before with DPM

 

Ive checked the event viewer and there are no errors logged related to this, unless im looking in the wrong place? im checking the application logs and asking DPM to publish alerts to EV just tells me the same error that DPM is showing

 

any help would be greatly appreciated

I wouldnt take snapshot backups of an exchange server. I dont think it is supported and restoring by this method can cause issues.

 

Do a system state/bmr and database backup instead
