CommodoreS Posted May 20, 2016 Posted May 20, 2016 I am in Essex using the internet provided by the local CC. I loaded 8 iPads onto Meraki. Eight worked fine with no problems and Apps downloaded. But Three are showing the error: Unable to Download Apps "Meraki Systems Manager" and 48 other items could not be downloaded at this time. All are identically configured using Apple Configurator 2. I have tried turning them off and on with no luck, so I tried bringing one home and it has connected immediately to Meraki and downloaded all the apps without any errors, which leads me to think its being blocked by the internet connection in the school. I have contacted the internet support and they are telling me they think its an internal local problem but I can not see how. Has anyone else (especially in Essex) encountered any similar problems and get it resolved, rather than having to the the iPads home to download and update?
mowgli82 Posted May 20, 2016 Posted May 20, 2016 If you are doing them all in the same area could it be the AP they are connected to is having a problem with all 8 devices downloading apps at the same time. What wireless system are you using?
biz Posted May 20, 2016 Posted May 20, 2016 Have you tried just one in school? iPads do not share bandwidth nicely and there could be a real bottleneck somewhere. Have a look at the bandwidth utilization on the broadband line when you've got all eight trying to download apps. Or as @mowgli82 said it could be internal.
Face-Man Posted May 20, 2016 Posted May 20, 2016 Hi Are you using the same itunes account for each device ? or using managed distribution to the devices rather than itunes account ? Can you download apps manually ok ? apple uses various ports on the ip range 17.0.0.0/8 mostly (TCP 2195 2196 5223) these need to be open for push notifications but if it works for 8 it should work for all of them. I've been having issue since 9.3.2 was launched with pushing apps and think apple might have changed something in the back end.
Brimstone Posted May 20, 2016 Posted May 20, 2016 You've 48 copies of different apps for just 3 iPads..... good luck with that
