[sims] Timetable/Effective Date

I don't do the timetable, but I export it from NOVA and print etc.

Some staff have worked out that by changing their 'effective date' they can see the new timetable, however we really don't want staff to see it yet!

We're exporting it to SIMS purely for printing purposes for the HT etc.

 

How can I stop them from doing this? Or is there no way?

The idea is that you keep the new timetable in NOVA until its fixed.

If I'm honest I'm fairly new to NOVA and how the timetable works. Being that I'd never really used it and the head was wanting print outs, I assumed the best way would be to send it to SIMS?

NOVA is pretty good at printing stuff out.

we don't export from nova until we are ok with the staff seeing it.

I used to make an excel version for HoDs and SLT to review. Timetable| Selection choose everyone. I copied Plan| Teacher Departments to get depts and loads. Then I used paste special amd transpose as it looks nicer if periods are rows not columns.

 

Whjle we're on the subject, if Nova's getting spruced anytime itd be nice to have a built in, good looking master TT with dept, max allocation and load.
