help needed removing non-managed apps

Hello.

Several of our ipads have got non-managed apps installed on them, games and the like (free ones). I don't know where they've come from, as far as I was aware apps could only be installed via the Meraki console. We have been using Meraki for quite a while and not come across this problem before so can't quite figure out what's change :/ I can't even delete them from the ipads "manually" as there isn't any "X" when the icons are pressed down and shaking. Can anyone suggest what may have changed please? if I need to wipe the ipads than fair enough but don't want to have to keep doing that if possible.

On your Ipad check the profile has not been removed also check that installing apps is blocked in restrictions on the Ipad, it should be greyed out . If it looks ok you can remove the profile from the iapd and then delete the apps and then use m.meraki.com from your ipad to add back to meraki and apply the profile.

If you havent removed or hidden the AppStore and your devices are signed into an Apple ID then users can simply go to the purchased section and redownload any "purchased" apps without any credentials. Check that nobody has downloaded these games using your school Apple IDs if you're still using Apple IDs.
