Our school has been using educare for our Data Protection, Fire Safety in Education, Health & Safety in Education, The Prevent Duty, etc.

The staffing manager is not happy with this system and wants me to find an alternative. He thinks the courses are too long (DP is 1.5 hours in total) and the content/examples aren't school relevant in many cases.

I don't think he is that impressed in online courses in general, although I emphasised that I have no staff (or hope of getting any) with training skills who could start developing and delivering training.

Are any schools out there really impressed with either e-learning they are using, or a company they invite in to deliver training to staff?

I am interested to hear how other schools deliver such training.

Any suggestions would be appreciated as always. Thanks very much

Our local authority run a Moodle site and a very polished Data Protection course, amongst others. Course is short and sweet. Seems to cover their duty requirements. Free for schools to use.

We used this company, the GDPR one is free and I thought the content was better than Educare:

https://www.trainingtoolz.com

The free content is a demo (the whole GDPR course but no certificate or treating log to record your staff training). You need to pay a small subscription of at least £25 per month.

Seems to be a nice and simple well designed course. I'm asking if we should use it.

My apologies. I hadn't fully configured the test. Now that's done everything is available as stated.

It produced a certificate when I did the training and I can see which staff have / haven't completed the training. We haven't subscribed to it yet but I am considering it. I liked the ability to amend the training materials before delivery so that I could make the course feel more school specific by including logo's references to meaningful examples etc.
