dry Posted May 12, 2016 Posted May 12, 2016 lol I laughed so much I just spat my Starbucks all over my Macbook Pro Could you get any more hipster? Was the Starbucks bought in Shoreditch by chance? Did you ride your fixie into work today?
Popular Post DJ-1701 Posted May 12, 2016 Popular Post Posted May 12, 2016 Could you get any more hipster? Well it depends if he drank his coffee before it was cool... (Sorry, I couldn't resist ). 5
GuyJD Posted May 12, 2016 Posted May 12, 2016 (edited) Could you get any more hipster? Was the Starbucks bought in Shoreditch by chance? Did you ride your fixie into work today? to be fair it'd probably be better than my 15 year old Zafira that takes 2 minutes of cranking to get started in the morning. For the record I am in fact using a HP desktop while sipping Orange Lucozade from the bottle. it's really p'ing off the staff at this Starbucks Edited May 12, 2016 by GuyJD 2

Ah, Zafira troubles..... good times. My 14y/o Zafira's battery decided to conk out at the petrol station last night. Luckily a nice chap gave me a push and I bump started it. Just about managed to get it home. You don't get that level of excitement in a Lamborghini, that's for sure! 1
mullet_man Posted August 2, 2016 Posted August 2, 2016 I've noticed that the unhappy cyclops is back in the Anniversary update, although my logo appears in accounts it doesn't show up on the login screen. Bloody Microsoft.
thimon Posted August 2, 2016 Posted August 2, 2016 I changed every image that was in the profile picture folder, just in case!
mullet_man Posted August 2, 2016 Posted August 2, 2016 I changed every image that was in the profile picture folder, just in case! In the user account pictures folder? Is the main logo showing OK for you?
thimon Posted August 3, 2016 Posted August 3, 2016 In the user account pictures folder? Is the main logo showing OK for you? Located at C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\User Account Pictures use Group Policy to replace all the images in that folder with our own custom ones. Still works fine.
mullet_man Posted August 3, 2016 Posted August 3, 2016 Located at C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\User Account Pictures use Group Policy to replace all the images in that folder with our own custom ones. Still works fine. That's what I have, all the images are showing in the folder but the big one on the login screen isn't showing up. It worked fine in 1511. Am wondering if my PNG is too big in size as previous Windows their is a size limit for backgrounds and stuff. When I get five I'll take a closer look. Cheers.
unixman_again Posted August 3, 2016 Posted August 3, 2016 Thanks to this thread, I've gotten rid of the cyclops, got my pre-login screen and login screen all to be the same nice blue. Just need to find out how to get the lock screen to the same blue (or identify the hex code for the lock screen blue and change the others to match). Not liking the having to jump through hoops to switch all the carp off.
Garacesh Posted August 3, 2016 Author Posted August 3, 2016 Set a User policy to apply certain colours (unfortunately, it's a registry hack. The GPO's for Windows 8 colours don't work in 10). It'll "reset" the colour every time you reboot, but nobody sees the colour until they log in.
unixman_again Posted August 3, 2016 Posted August 3, 2016 This Getting brighter colors in Windows 10 - RaMMicHaeL's Blog lets you chose any colour you want, so long as you tick the disable auto-colour box, and it doesn't get reset at logon.
mullet_man Posted August 3, 2016 Posted August 3, 2016 Can someone let me know the size of their user-192.png file? Am still not sure why mine isn't showing up on the login screen,
Garacesh Posted August 3, 2016 Author Posted August 3, 2016 Can someone let me know the size of their user-192.png file? Am still not sure why mine isn't showing up on the login screen, Image dimensions, or filesize?
mullet_man Posted August 3, 2016 Posted August 3, 2016 Image dimensions, or filesize? Sorry filesize as its 192x192 for dimensions which is correct but my current size is 33.9kb The original one is 2.35kb which is a big difference.
Garacesh Posted August 3, 2016 Author Posted August 3, 2016 Little bit. I'll check my filesize tomorrow and let you know. 1
unixman_again Posted August 4, 2016 Posted August 4, 2016 My original one is 2407 bytes and my replacement is 450 bytes - displays perfectly. My replacement is just a blue square, 192x192. 1

mullet_man Posted August 4, 2016 Posted August 4, 2016 Thanks. Am totally confused. As my image shows up OK on start screen bottom left, as well as the login screen at the bottom left hand side. Just not big on the login screen. It worked fine previously. The user-192.png is in the folder and shows up on the account picture when you goto accounts in Settings. Do you guys have any other GPs set?
Garacesh Posted August 4, 2016 Author Posted August 4, 2016 Do you guys have any other GPs set? Yes. There's a GP that says something about making all the users use the default photo. But that doesn't change what the default photo actually is. Your problem is the Anniversary Update. It didn't work for me, either.

OK Geracesh so your photo isn't showing up too with the Anniversary update? I don't have that GP applied at the minute.
mullet_man Posted August 4, 2016 Posted August 4, 2016 I've sorted it, i needed that GP setting. Thanks everyone for their help and guidance. 1

When I tested the Anniversary update (admittedly, this was pre-release) even with that policy applied, it didn't work.. Nice to know it does work for future reference, though, for when we give W10 another shot.
mullet_man Posted August 4, 2016 Posted August 4, 2016 This new version of Windows seems really buggy compared to the last one.
