vfong1982 Posted April 29, 2016 Posted April 29, 2016 Hi, Can anybody decipher the below SETUPACT.LOG? I am having issues deploying an existing image through WDS which fails specifically on a particular Dell Laptop (Lattitude E5550). It looks like it processes the SYSPRP sequence, but it looks like a few problems occur after which results in the dialog window "Windows could not configure one or more system components. To install Windows, restart the computer and then restart the installation." I have only pasted the section after SYSPRP. If any further part of the log is needed, I can paste it in. Any suggestions or opinions would be appreciated: 016-04-28 07:36:04, Info IBS Callback_Specialize: External Providers Specialized Succeeded 2016-04-28 07:36:04, Info [setup.exe] OrchestrateUpdateImageState: Updating image state from [iMAGE_STATE_UNDEPLOYABLE] --> [iMAGE_STATE_SPECIALIZE_RESEAL_TO_OOBE] 2016-04-28 07:36:04, Info IBS Callback_Specialize: Specialize return: [0] 2016-04-28 07:36:04, Info IBS Callback_Specialize: Exit. 2016-04-28 07:36:04, Info [0x030023] CMI Callback_CMI_ConfigInstall: Entry. 2016-04-28 07:36:04, Info CMI Callback_CMI_ConfigInstall: Online component configuration has already run; re-run CBS startup processing. 2016-04-28 07:36:04, Info CMI CBS_Core_Initialize: Loading CBS core from: C:\Windows\winsxs\amd64_microsoft-windows-servicingstack_31bf3856ad364e35_6.1.7601.18766_none_675144b3de10d6f7\CbsCore.dll 2016-04-28 07:36:04, Info CMI CBS_Core_Initialize:Loaded cbscore.dll 2016-04-28 07:36:04, Info CMI CBS_Core_Initialize:Fetched entrypoints 2016-04-28 07:36:04, Info CMI CBS_Core_Initialize:Got malloc 2016-04-28 07:36:04, Info CBS Loaded Servicing Stack v6.1.7601.18766 with Core: C:\Windows\winsxs\amd64_microsoft-windows-servicingstack_31bf3856ad364e35_6.1.7601.18766_none_675144b3de10d6f7\CbsCore.dll 2016-04-28 07:36:04, Info CSI 00000001@2016/4/28:14:36:04.874 WcpInitialize (wcp.dll version 0.0.0.6) called (stack @0x7fefb01f0dd @0x7fefb4d98b5 @0x7fefb4a34e3 @0x7fefc0a1ee9 @0x7fefc0a22f8 @0x7fefc09fb27) 2016-04-28 07:36:04, Info CSI 00000002@2016/4/28:14:36:04.874 WcpInitialize (wcp.dll version 0.0.0.6) called (stack @0x7fefb01f0dd @0x7fefb526816 @0x7fefb4f2b18 @0x7fefb4a35b9 @0x7fefc0a1ee9 @0x7fefc0a22f8) 2016-04-28 07:36:04, Info CBS SQM: Initializing online with Windows opt-in: False 2016-04-28 07:36:04, Info CBS SQM: Cleaning up report files older than 10 days. 2016-04-28 07:36:04, Info CBS SQM: Requesting upload of all unsent reports. 2016-04-28 07:36:04, Info CBS SQM: Failed to start upload with file pattern: C:\Windows\servicing\sqm\*_std.sqm, flags: 0x2 [hrESULT = 0x80004005 - E_FAIL] 2016-04-28 07:36:04, Info CBS SQM: Failed to start standard sample upload. mikkydoos Posted May 5, 2016 Posted May 5, 2016 That error is Windows Defender. Dont know why it would hang there.
Oaktech Posted May 5, 2016 Posted May 5, 2016 Is the laptop already built when you try and wds it? Could you try manually destroying the disk config with setup and then trying again to build it with WDS?
