Can someone please explain to me, the process for sharing OneDrive for Business files with external users?

I have have enabled external access from within the Admin portal, however when I select a file input an external email address and and try to share it, the share button remains greyed out.

Maybe check your SharePoint sites? If you go to sharepoint admin from the admin center, then click on the site that is called *Yoursitename*-my.sharepoint.com and click the sharing button. It should have "Allow sharing with all external users, and by using anonymous access links" selected.

Ignore the above, the share option is now blue.

Good lord - OneDrive for Business is definitely the work of the devil :mad2:

Does anyone know if MS have any intention of sacking it off and moving to something more akin to the consumer version?

I don't think they are going to move...but they will certainly improve the underlying SharePoint structure. There will be a SharePoint event on May 4th where we will be hearing some of those changes I suppose.

i raised this with MS through their service request portal.. i was using 'the wrong browser' apparently.

I was using google chrome and it wouldnt send although i got no errors.

As soon as he tried internet explorer it worked - But i did try this its one of the first troibleshooting methods i tried. I just think its garbage for business to be honest. SO many limitations. Google drive is much better but we dont use their product.
