Getting rid of old printers

We've recently replaced our printers and are looking to offload the old ones. Are there any companies who buy used printers?

It all depends on how old and quantity and condition.

You could ebay them in lots

Sell them to staff for home use? That's what we're considering doing when we free a load up later this year...

The actual process is a bif of a faff though - staff will be given a list of all items available, and submit sealed bids for the things they want. Whoever bids the most, wins.

We offered all of our printers to staff as a £5 donation to our school selected charities.

 

Everything was sold as seen, I provided USB / Power cables and I got a cost for ink / toner so when staff were selecting which they wanted they had an idea of running costs.

eBay is probably the best way.

 

I'd never sell them to staff as even though they will be sold as seen when they have any issues (or realise how expensive the toners are) they will soon come knocking on the door and 100% of them doing so will want them to be the exception to the rule!

 

Do a search for companies selling refurbished printers and then give them a call to see if they will buy all your printers as a job lot.

We sold ours to staff, far easier, they had to bid on the one they wanted, some got next to new machines for £10!! All money went to charity of the year for us at the time.

 

They were sold as seen and had to sign saying we would not be responsible and it was theirs once money handed over and collected.
