Read up on a few other threads - this seems an odd issue.

Computer boots up fine, but as soon as you insert a cat5 cable it just reboots? There is some kind of comflict going on, but I can't understand why that would be - computer was working fine last week.

-Tried different cable

-Tried booting with cable, but still reboots after period of time

Try using a linux live cd then you can see if its windows or not. Maybe something is shorting, perhaps one of the connectors?

Is it BSoD'ing (do you get a blue flash on the screen before it reboots), or does it just reboot?

Also, does it work fine if you boot it with the cable plugged in before you turn it on?
