northeast_technician Posted March 24, 2016 Posted March 24, 2016 hello, is there a way of changing the subnet of a dhcp scope without deleting and re adding it? someone has put the wrong subnet into dhcp and now i need to change it quick!
smithson83 Posted March 24, 2016 Posted March 24, 2016 (edited) Apparently not, BUT, there is hope... Link you can run netsh dhcp server \\”Server” scope “ip_of_scope” dump>c:\dhcp.txt to export your dhcp data to a text file, (delete the scope), change the subnet in the txt file then run netsh exec c:\dhcp.txt to recreate it. or so say MS Edited March 24, 2016 by smithson83
northeast_technician Posted March 24, 2016 Author Posted March 24, 2016 Yeah saw that didn't bring me much luck said it was an invalid ip I used even though it was the server
smithson83 Posted March 24, 2016 Posted March 24, 2016 (edited) the "IP_of_scope" will be the start of the IP range eg 192.168.0.0, not the server address netsh dhcp server \\NameOfDHCPServer scope 192.168.0.0 dump>c:\dhcp.txt Edited March 24, 2016 by smithson83
