mikeyw Posted March 21, 2016 Posted March 21, 2016 Hi, I have setup a Windows 10 Enterprise LTSB machine, i created a mandatory profile from its default profile using the copy to method from within advanced settings in User Profiles. For some reason The search (Cortaina) just doesn't work at all in event viewer has entries as an application error "Faulting Application Name: SearchUI.exe..." Any ideas on how to solve this or can anybody recommend a different solution for creating a mandatory profile? Many Thanks
SuperduperPackager Posted March 21, 2016 Posted March 21, 2016 Mandatory profiles are broken right now and Microsoft is aware of it. They are working on a solution, the expected release date is end of april. If you're not in a hurry, you should probably wait for this patch and save yourself alot of trouble. Just my 2 cents. 2
3s-gtech Posted March 21, 2016 Posted March 21, 2016 We fixed it, post on here details it. You need to add the ALL APPLICATION PACKAGES user with full access on the registry hive in regedit. It'll work then. 2

mikeyw Posted March 22, 2016 Author Posted March 22, 2016 Thank you so much, i have just manually tested it and it appears to be working. Now to create a GPO Fix.
mikeyw Posted March 22, 2016 Author Posted March 22, 2016 After creating the gpo it breaks the start menu and search.
