I was thinking an IP camera of some description but the quality for the video/audio is probably not that great. Any advice on equipment or ideas of what we could buy?
robk Posted March 12, 2016 Posted March 12, 2016 If the distance isn't great then I would look at a standard cctv camera type setup otherwise latency over ip streaming can become a issue very quickly. Might just have been my low powered kit but a second or two delay tends to cause mayhem...

During some of the performances we do, we use the Video over Cat5 stuff which works well. We have a camera feed from the sound / light desk going into a network port back to the server room. This then splits it to and it's fed to two classrooms and the receivers are hooked into the projectors using nothing fancy but composite video. It works for us, as it just turns a video feed into something that can be pushed over Cat5/6 cables and no fibre is in the way. Depending on how much you spend will determine what video signal and how far. Keep it simple. Pete

FragglePete Posted March 13, 2016 Posted March 13, 2016 I think the stuff used was from Keene Retail Ltd, Electronics making AV happen, Products and accessories for video, photography, home cinema and AV - depends on your budget on how far you need to go and what signal type you need to use. Some carry audio as well. Pete
