Windows Server 2012 0xc00002e2 Error

One of our Domain Controllers which is a VM is in a reboot loop and each time it errors with:

Windows Server 2012 0xc00002e2 Error

 

I've tried to follow a few blogs with suggestions on with no sucess, anyone have any ideas?

 

I do have a snapshot backup from about a week ago, but not sure if restoring a backup of a DC is a good idea or could it lead to bigger problems and would I be better of just creating a new DC and then forcefully demoting this one??

If you have multiple DCs, don't replace this one from a backup - it'll be tombstoned most likely. It may cause other issues too. Deleting the old one out of AD is much cleaner than it used to be, just make sure any FSMO roles are moved over. Of course, if there are any files or software on the server you can bring up the backup, but just keep it off the network.

Never use snapshot backups with dc's. Restoring like this can cause sync issues.

Only ever use systemstate backup for AD, and then do an authoritative or non-authoritative restore depending on your situation.
