Since we have updated to 4.8.12 our UAPs are randomly disconnecting and reconnecting. On the interface it comes up with 'Heartbeat Missed' and give it 5-10mins and the UAPs come back up by themselves. Has anyone else had this problem? We seem to be getting spammed with UAP Disconnected emails in the last week.

Thanks

Same here, not looked for a fix yet - I tailed the logs on one of the AP's but so far none have disconnected today... It's quite random. I updated due to putting some of those new AC Pros in

Same reason as us, got the new AC Pros (which are brilliant I think). We have had loads disconnect today without sending out emails, only sends emails if they are off for a certain amount of time, which I haven't figured out yet!

It is totally random, just noticed that we had one like yourself with no email went down an hour ago (I ordered by uptime in devices) I have just noticed that the unifi controller isn't apparently running - not sure when that happened (We use a 2012r2 VM for it)

Sounds just like our problem, we have ours on a 2008 R2 VM through. We did look at moving it to 2012 R2 but caused us a headache and had to revert back.

Well found, plus side is not our servers fault, down side is will have to upgrade unifi again. Last few times we have done this it hasn't been easy! Had to restore from back-up several times.

Same, I now download backup then install - it usually goes pear shaped involving restoration from backup. I usually leave it alone when it works but like me you got the new AP's so had little choice! I may just in future just uninstall and start from scratch, then restore

Great, Thanks for the help. Think we are going to leave the update until Easter unless the dropping off access points are getting really bad.

I used to have an issue adopting and the only way I could get it working was set up a temporary controller on a laptop, attach the AP to it,adopt and upgrade then I'd forget the AP and readopt on the main controller

It's more than likely the AP, since upgrading and putting the controller on windows server 2012r2 I've had no issues adopting (Was hit and miss for me on linux)

I looked at my AP they are up but they will not adopt on the controller. I did restore the configuration after updating the controller I am on BSD platform. Is there a way of removing ap from config?
