Blocking Shush and other 'whisper' apps

Hi all

 

Does anyone have a list of the IP addresses used by the app Shush and any other Whisper type app?

 

Our smoothwall bundles them all in to a category along with genuine social sites/apps which we don't want to block, so I've got to resort to IP blocking.

 

Looking at it, the app doesn't seem to do anything much other than communicate with the Apple servers.

Can I ask where you found those IPs? I'd like to know more about how to get that information from our smoothwall but some of it's screens are a little...cryptic.

Alas though, blocking those IP addresses didn't block Shush.

I'd advise you to look at this from the other side.

Block Social Networking and allow the social networks you want to, it's likely to be a much shorter list.
