vikpaw Posted January 25, 2008 Posted January 25, 2008 In June EduGeek will be 3 years old. Are there any plans to have a party? I think we should have a big bash for the summer. Hire out the O2 Arena, get a live band in etc. i'm sure the usual sponsors would dig deep for us especially RM (cos i read they own us )! And of course there are a few members who also celebrate their birthday on that day..... 1
GrumbleDook Posted January 25, 2008 Posted January 25, 2008 Because EduGeek will be 3 I think you will find that there will be no alcohol at the party. Of course ... we will be bringing along screen cleaning fluids ... even if we have to put them in whiskey bottles, vodka bottles, etc.
witch Posted January 25, 2008 Posted January 25, 2008 I'd love one but I expect it would be up there in t'North so I wouldn't be able to go anyway. Great idea though!
Andrew_C Posted January 25, 2008 Posted January 25, 2008 3 years old? Then it would have to be jelly & ice-cream. Followed by little Johnny crying and someone being sick all over someone else's new party dress. I think I'll stay at home... :-)
russdev Posted January 25, 2008 Posted January 25, 2008 hmm we will have think about how we can do this... Russ
webman Posted January 25, 2008 Posted January 25, 2008 Yes!! I vote for having it in the North. Not Manchester though, the real North!
russdev Posted January 25, 2008 Posted January 25, 2008 One of reasons we hold stuff in Midlands as it is central to everyone.. But we try and do stuff up north and down south like events we hold one up north and next time we go down south somewhere we can. To make it easier on people would a through the day event in summer holidays be good things. Russell
vikpaw Posted January 25, 2008 Author Posted January 25, 2008 the north's good, it's cheap, the people are nicer, the beer's got head.... book your train tickets early! i want my jelly and ice-cream if you really don't want to come to the party, i'm sure some geek will bring a webcam (as they do) and you can watch the rest of us get bladdered on sugar free cordial.
webman Posted January 25, 2008 Posted January 25, 2008 @Russ: when was the last time something was up North?
russdev Posted January 25, 2008 Posted January 25, 2008 Rochdale lets not get into argument of if it is north enough compared to Northamptonshire and London it is north They had funny money from Scotland so must be north to me Russ
webman Posted January 25, 2008 Posted January 25, 2008 Rochdale isn't up North York or Newcastle would have been far more appropriate to be called North.
russdev Posted January 25, 2008 Posted January 25, 2008 They had funny money so north to me To be technical scotland is north and so lets say glasgow and as they call corby little little glasgow will can hold north event in the midlands
Diello Posted January 25, 2008 Posted January 25, 2008 You haven't had an event down south till you've been to Kent darn it! Here... most places are "in the North"! - Any more south and you'd be in the English Channel!
russdev Posted January 25, 2008 Posted January 25, 2008 We did London moan moan moan well give us a free venue to use and good chance we will come and hold something Russ
webman Posted January 25, 2008 Posted January 25, 2008 I have a garage and a garden with 6Meg DSL connection, does that count?
