localzuk Posted February 23, 2016 Posted February 23, 2016 It has been suggested that we host a Rust server. Would anyone else play on the server?
Domo Posted February 23, 2016 Posted February 23, 2016 Yeah i'd be up for that, Would it be possible for me to bring in someone who isn't registered on Edugeek though, as me and my girlfriend were literally discussing playing this today haha Edit - also i'm 99% sure i voted yes, but it has 2 votes and one is no, so not sure if i misclicked

Arreks Posted February 23, 2016 Posted February 23, 2016 If and when I played Rust again, I'd play on it
abillybob Posted February 24, 2016 Posted February 24, 2016 I was expecting more people to play Rust to be honest
localzuk Posted February 24, 2016 Author Posted February 24, 2016 Rust seems to have dropped down in popularity since ARK came out.
abillybob Posted February 24, 2016 Posted February 24, 2016 Rust seems to have dropped down in popularity since ARK came out. That's big shame. I've had some brilliant times on Rust. Is Ark not just Rust but with Dinosaurs!?
DanHamilton Posted February 24, 2016 Posted February 24, 2016 If and when I played Rust again, I'd play on it This. I was playing before they remade the game and haven't had the time to sit down and play it.
abillybob Posted February 24, 2016 Posted February 24, 2016 The new version is soon much better than the old IMO. At first it took me a while to get used to it again but as soon as I did I really enjoy it again - just unfortunately tend not to have enough time nowadays to sit down and play games like I used to!

Rust is one of those games you have to spend a lot of hours on each day in order to retain all of your stuff...quite a difficult one I agree. I've followed the build of the new version and loaded it up but I haven't properly played it, something I wish I have time for at some point.
TwistedHelixis Posted February 21, 2017 Posted February 21, 2017 Only just started to play Rust and really enjoying it so far. Did Edugeek ever create a Rust server?
TwistedHelixis Posted May 3, 2017 Posted May 3, 2017 Still loving this game - each weekly update adds so much to the game. I normally play modded servers that have fast resource gathering etc which eliminates the grind element to the game. How does ARK compare?
Garacesh Posted May 8, 2017 Posted May 8, 2017 How does ARK compare? DLC added dragons. Literally the epitome of power creep. I'd be happy to play some EduGeek Rust. I'd likely give it up two months later like I did with Minecraft, but, you never know..? Also, anybody checked out The Forest? It's Co-op PvE but reading into the technical aspects of it, the AI is ridiculously cool and in-depth. It's not as "raw survival" as Rust, there is actually a story that's there to be completed, but it's non-linear and you don't even have to do it. You could just go about surviving against waves of feral cannibals and weird mutated monstrosities.

Garacesh Posted May 8, 2017 Posted May 8, 2017 I've checked it out, it looks pretty good actually. It's interesting and certainly very fleshed out, I just haven't played much of it because I'd rather play it co-op.
TwistedHelixis Posted May 8, 2017 Posted May 8, 2017 The Forest very different from Rust. We have both but the forest is not there yet - they only added user server a few weeks back. They are very very different games.
