Dos_Box Posted January 25, 2008 Posted January 25, 2008 Does anyone here know how to access the supervisor logon for the BIOS. This is differant from the normal user BIOS, and I'm dammed if I can find out how to get there. Its a Thinkpad T60 BTW.
mattx Posted January 25, 2008 Posted January 25, 2008 Try holding down F1 whilst booting..... [ used to work on the older thinkpads ]
Dos_Box Posted January 25, 2008 Author Posted January 25, 2008 That accesses the user BIOS. Supervisor options are still greyed out.
mattx Posted January 25, 2008 Posted January 25, 2008 (edited) That accesses the user BIOS. Supervisor options are still greyed out. Ready for some tinkering ? Have you checked out: http://www.ja.axxs.net/unlock/ http://sodoityourself.com/hacking-ibm-thinkpad-bios-password/ I sort of remember having to boot to a floppy on some older models a few years back to enable / disable some modem functions - so I am not sure if this is the case on the newer models ? I take it there is nothing regarding this in the thinkpad utils ? [ Its been a while since I used and serviced thinkpads - before they handed over the stuff to Lenovo ] Edited January 25, 2008 by mattx
