Is there a way I can have a pupil still registered for their class but not appear on the assessment marksheets. Will withdrawing from the class in academic manager achieve this? Any help gratefully received.

@123sch I don't think so. If someone is in a class they are in a class! Can you give an indication of the circumstances?

Y11 pupils still attending the class but not continuing with the subject eg. early entry, resit, withdrawal.

Thanks for the explanation - I'm afraid they are in a class and will show on mark sheets attached to that class.

Would it work to manually remove them from the course that is associated with the class? You would have to turn off auto update class membership, which might cause other problems down the line.

 

If you then added the relevant course membership filter to the template the student wouldn't show on the class marksheet?

 

The update course memberships would be my biggest concern as it would cause the data manager potential hassle with the only benefit being the marksheet is slightly neater for the teacher.

Thanks guys. It was a teacher request that prompted my query but I could see one benefit in my not requesting missing grade marks for pupils no longer studying a course. However, I will avoid tinkering with course memberships following your sage advices.

you could always add a code for not being examined.... teacher could submit that for any pupils not taking the exam.
