steewy Posted February 10, 2016 Posted February 10, 2016 Hi, We have a few new machines here and i'm having issues deploying W7 x64. MDT Usually behaves perfectly but this time I can't make it work. As usual I added drivers to the MDT server, update the deployment shares, replace the Boot image on WDS but it won't go past the connection wizard. Here is a screenshot: As you can see it's not related to the credentials (no I didn't change my password and Yes the password is correct on the bootstrap.ini and rules). The machine can't ping anything and doesn't have an ip ad. So it has to be driver related. I go all drivers x64 form HP and added them to WDS and MDT but it still won't work. The exact reference of the ethernet card a Integrated Realtek RTL8111HSH-CG GbE. I tried getting PXE drivers straight for the Realtek website but can't find anything useful. Here is the PC. Anyone could help ?
themightymrp Posted February 10, 2016 Posted February 10, 2016 From within Windows - can you get the Hardware ID from device manager?
themightymrp Posted February 10, 2016 Posted February 10, 2016 All I'm finding is a driver download called "SP73440" , is this what you have already tried?
steewy Posted February 10, 2016 Author Posted February 10, 2016 I didn't try the SP73440 but I will soon. If I can't get it to work i'll install windows via DVD and get the hardware ID.
themightymrp Posted February 10, 2016 Posted February 10, 2016 Well here is the link if you need it: Drivers & Software - HP Support Center.
steewy Posted February 10, 2016 Author Posted February 10, 2016 Thanks ! I'll add this to the MDT and WDS and let you know. I tried the previous version but this one seems more up to date.
steewy Posted February 12, 2016 Author Posted February 12, 2016 Yes and no. I had to delete the driver from MDT and WDS. Update deployment shares. I then re imported the drivers and updated fully the deployment and it's now working.Any joy with the driver?
themightymrp Posted February 12, 2016 Posted February 12, 2016 Great! Did you use that driver I linked to or did it work with your original one after removing/reimporting? Just curious
steewy Posted February 12, 2016 Author Posted February 12, 2016 Your driver was more up to date and complete than the other from the HP Support so I used yours.
