Today only Alonso has been on the softs so no real comparison as they have been working on PU delivery And the ultra-soft was something like 0.8s faster than the soft last week, wasn't it? Around that mark. The more I see the Manor livery the more I think it might be my favourite on the grid...
Boredguy Posted March 1, 2016 Posted March 1, 2016 Yes the difference was around 0.8 from the Ultra Soft to the Super Softs, so the fact that Merc got so close on the Soft is impressive. Had they done the run on the Super Soft it wouldn't be such a shocking laptime. But so far it looks like the other teams need to find more pace =/

I think it will be redesigned but Kimi's thoughts on it is "okay". good old Kimi . Once they took it off, he went quickest .
Boredguy Posted March 3, 2016 Posted March 3, 2016 I think the word "testing" is a bit stretched, as they only did the initial installation lap this morning with it on the car just to see what the visibility would be like. Straight ahead view is no really any more impaired than at present with the pitot tubes in the middle of the front bulkhead.

So genuinely no reason not to run it, except Lewis worrying that he won't look cool enough. Coulthard, Webber, Wolff, Prost, Ben Edwards commentating still, and Murray flippin' Walker! Most importantly of all: there'll be no advert breaks during the race, and they're keeping as the theme tune. 1
